Then click on the full photo and convert to B&W or desaturate it (always more than one way to do things). In the full colour image, use the edge finder tool to select what you want to keep in colour, copy and paste it (essentially it forms a "layer" but it does not call it that) and drops it right on the original photo such that you could not tell it was there when both components are in full colour. I know it does not come close to the sofistication of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements but I found it very intuitive and easy to use and I was easily able to do some interesting things much more easily than in Photoshop.įor example, for B&W photos with selective colouring this was my workflow: I used to use Microsoft's Digital Image Pro 10 for a good portion of my photo editing. I recently got my first Mac notebook after being a PC user forever. I hesitated to post this here but I did a search and have found nothing and I really want to know the answer to this.
